Elder Law and Long-Term Care Planning
One issue that many retired clients raise is the fear of nursing home
care costs, and its potential devastating impact on a client's
finances.  This seems to come up even with the rising population of
senior citizens.  Nursing home care can cost upwards of $6,000 per
month, or $200 per day in Northeast Wisconsin, and those costs will
likely keep increasing.  Attorney Troy Dalebroux and his staff has
over 30 years of combined experience in the laws related to Medical
Assistance (Medicaid) and other assistance programs available to help
pay for long-term care. Troy can explain available options to protect
as much of your assets as possible, so that if a client can no longer
live at home, they might become eligible for government programs. If you or
a family member have questions about dealing with these potential costs,
we can review your options so that you can make an informed decision.

Most importantly, we recommend that you have your estate planning
documents drawn up, reviewed, or updated by Troy, so that there are
more options available for you or your family should you no longer be able
to remain living at home.  Your Financial (Durable) Power of Attorney and
Health Care Power of Attorney documents may be the most important
estate planning documents you have, but standard forms can severely limit
your options to protect your assets.  It is important to have a specialized
elder law attorney like Attorney Troy Dalebroux, with substantial
experience in Nursing Home care planning and asset protection, draft
or review these documents so that you, your spouse, or your children can
protect as much of your life savings as possible.  A standard power of
attorney form will not suffice.
